Trainer - Soap Maker
Job Description
Uttaran is an NGO working in Bangladesh since 1985 to uphold rights and entitlements and to improve the socio-economic condition of the poor and disadvantaged community people. Uttaran is a people-centered organization using a rights-based approach to alleviate poverty, diversify livelihood opportunities and empower poor communities of Bangladesh.
Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled- Trainer - Soap Maker for the Skills Development for Vulnerable Rohingya and Host Community Youth of Cox Bazar.
Reports to: Project Manager
Job Location: Camp 26 Project area, Coxsbazar
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct theoretical and hands-on training on the production of various types of soap, including laundry soap, bathing soap, liquid soap, dishwashing liquid, and other related cleaning products.
Prepare training plans, session outlines, lesson materials, demonstrations, and practical exercises in accordance with the project curriculum.
Prepare and develop various types of soap for commercial production
Maintain hygiene and safety standards.
Assist in packaging, quality testing improvement.
Train participants on quality control, product formulation, packaging, labeling, storage, and shelf-life management.
Other Responsiilities
Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager to ensure effective project task.
Competencies
Ability to communicate effectively with communities and diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education
- Higher Secondary
Diploma or short course on soap making preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 25 years
Both males and females are allowed to apply. Women candidates are highly encouraged
Minimum 6 months experience on soap making
