Job Description

Quality Control (QC):

Product Testing & Inspection

  • Ensure all honey and food products meet safety, purity, and quality standards.
  • Conduct routine sampling, lab testing, and sensory evaluation.

Compliance & Certification

  • Maintain adherence to food safety regulations (ISO, HACCP, FSSAI, BSTI, etc.).
  • Prepare documentation for audits and certifications.

Process Monitoring

  • Supervise production lines to ensure hygiene and consistency.
  • Implement corrective actions for deviations in quality.

Supplier & Raw Material Evaluation

  • Verify the quality of raw honey and other ingredients from suppliers.
  • Maintain supplier quality records and conduct periodic audits.

Research & Development (R&D):

New Product Development

  • Innovate honey-based products (flavored honey, honey snacks, health supplements).
  • Explore packaging innovations for better shelf life and customer appeal.

Market & Trend Analysis

  • Research consumer preferences and competitor offerings.
  • Suggest product improvements based on market demand.

Process Improvement

  • Develop cost-effective production methods without compromising quality.
  • Introduce automation or technology upgrades in testing and packaging.

Sustainability & Innovation

  • Work on eco-friendly packaging and sustainable sourcing of honey.
  • Explore value-added products (organic honey, medicinal blends, infused honey).

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing to highlight product quality and innovations.
  • Support supply chain in ensuring smooth procurement and distribution.
  • Train staff on quality standards, hygiene practices, and new processes.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on QC & R&D outcomes.

Experience

  • 4 to 8 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Food (Packaged)/Beverage, E-commerce, E-commerce Startup, F-commerce

Education

    • Master of Science (MSc) in Food & Nutrition, Chemistry
    • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Food & Nutrition, Chemistry, Applied Chemistry
