Job Description
- Ensure overall welfare activities of workers in compliance with Bangladesh labor law and company policies.
- Conduct regular counseling sessions for workers to resolve personal or workplace concerns, encouraging and motivating workers for better performance, awareness on health and safety, collect the worker’s grievances and taking appropriate measures etc.
- Promote a positive work environment, build trust, and establish good relationship with workers, making workers aware of health, hygiene and safety issues.
- Monitor and take action the harassment and abuse of female workers.
- Support workers in accessing welfare facilities (e.g., medical center, canteen, daycare, Dining & Sanitized etc.).
- Assist new workers during onboarding/induction and ensure they are aware of company rules, benefits, and welfare services.
- Maintain accurate welfare records (maternity benefits, leave records, counseling documents, etc.), registers (Grievance Handling, Orientation, Awareness Programmers etc.)
- Maintain effective communication with workers and address grievances through proper grievance handling procedures.
- Maintain updated knowledge of buyer compliance standards (BSCI, SEDEX, ICS, WRAP, RSC, Accord, etc.) and assist compliance department in implementation.
- Take care of female workers, especially pregnant workers.
- Ensure a hygienic and safe atmosphere in the workplace.
- Carry out floor visit (daily) to check housekeeping and conduct welfare inspections to identify improvement areas.
- Assist the HR & Compliance team during buyer audits and ensure required welfare documentation is available.
Experience
- 3 to 6 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Buying House
Education
- Bachelor of Social Science (Pass)
Skill Required in Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 and Labour Rule 2015, Grievance Management, Disciplinary Procedure, worker training & counselling, etc.
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 27 years
- Only Female
Strong Knowledge of formation PC, SC, Anti-Harassment Committees & Canteen Committee.
Have knowledge on monitoring BSCI, ICS, SEDEX, WRAP, RSC etc. and related welfare issues and assist in different audits as requirements.
Sound knowledge on Bangladesh Labor Law & Rules.
Basic Computer skills in MS Word, Excel & Email Communication.
