Assistant Manager - Finishing, Production (Jacket/Outerwear)

Job Description
- Supervise and coordinate all finishing activities, including pressing, folding, packaging, and quality control.
- Train, mentor, and motivate finishing department staff to achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of finished garments.
- Monitor production efficiency and identify areas for improvement to optimize workflows.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Production, Quality Control, and Supply Chain, to streamline operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Implement and enforce safety guidelines and best practices in the finishing department.
- Manage inventory of finishing supplies and equipment, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for replenishment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of finishing department employees and provide feedback for improvement.
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity in the finishing department.
- Oversee the inspection of finished garments for quality defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of production output, quality metrics, and employee performance.
- Resolve any conflicts or issues within the finishing department and escalate to the Finishing Manager when necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in garment finishing techniques.
- Plan and coordinate staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak production periods.
- Participate in departmental meetings to review progress, discuss challenges, and strategize for future goals.
- Assist in the implementation of training programs for new hires and ongoing skill development for existing employees.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and waste-reduction strategies in the finishing department.
Experience
- 5 to 7 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Buying House, Group of Companies
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
Additional Requirements
- Age 24 to 40 years
Proven experience working in finishing department in the garments industry.
Knowledge of garment production processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
