Traffic Assistant
Job Description
Assist passengers with the handling, transportation, and loading/unloading of baggage within designated airport areas.
Provide baggage assistance to elderly passengers, passengers with reduced mobility, and families traveling with young children.
Escort passengers and their luggage to check-in counters, arrival halls, transportation points, or other designated areas as required.
Handle passenger baggage carefully to prevent damage, loss, or mishandling.
Ensure the proper use and maintenance of baggage trolleys and porter equipment.
Respond promptly and courteously to passenger inquiries and requests for assistance.
Coordinate with airline, ground handling, and airport personnel to facilitate smooth passenger movement.
Report unattended baggage, suspicious activities, lost items, or security concerns immediately to the appropriate authority.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of porter stations and work areas.
Adhere to airport safety regulations, security procedures, and company policies at all times.
Assist during irregular operations, flight disruptions, emergencies, and peak traffic periods as directed by supervisors.
Complete assigned records, logs, and incident reports accurately and timely.
Perform any other duties assigned by management related to airport operations.
Experience
- 1 to 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Logistic/Courier/Air Express Companies, Airline, Transportation, Supply Chain
- Freshers are also encouraged to apply.
Education
- HSC
Additional Requirements
- Age 18 to 25 years
- Only Male
Previous experience in porter services, hospitality, customer service, airport operations, or a similar role is preferred.
Fresh candidates with good communication skills and a service-oriented attitude may also be considered.
Rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Prolonged standing and walking.
Frequent lifting, pushing, and carrying of baggage.
Exposure to varying weather conditions while working in operational areas.
