Online Video Editor

Virgo Media Limited (Channel 9), a leading private Satellite Television Channel is looking for energetic & proactive individual for the following positions:

Job Responsibilities:

• All kinds of on-line editing.
• Covering of live events.
• During online shooting extra works are Camera Control Unit, VTR Control, Sound Level monitoring etc.
• Adopt the linear video editing system, non-linear video editing system, or vision mixing.
• Video editing is done by using videotape, while non-linear editing makes use of computers and video editing software.
• Have skilled in the vision mixing system is used when live video signals are edited.
• Have knowledge to different transitions like dissolves and pattern swipes, perform keying operations, and also generate color signals. This kind of online video editing is used in videotaped and live television productions.

• At least 2 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Public Relation Companies

• Bachelor/Honors

• Age At least 24 years

• It is necessary to attend training courses that focus on video production, film and video editing, or post production techniques.
• Online video editors also need to have proficiency in handling video editing software like Adobe Photoshop, Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash and Adobe Premier, Adobe Illustrator, Incite etc.

Experience:

• At least 2 years experience in related field.
• Online Video Editor must have knowledge to understand of film, TV or Radio production would be a definite advantage. Good eyesight and hearing are essential, as are good Hand-Eye and Hand-Ear co-ordination.

Minimum requirements:

• Online Video Editors should be patient and capable of concentration for extended periods of time
• They should be highly organized
• They should have quick reactions and a high level of manual dexterity
• They should have the ability to work on their own and think quickly
• They should have a keen sense of timing and rhythm

Direct experience in the Television Channel will be preferred for the post.
