Assistant Manager-Die Design, Drawing & Maintenance, Aluminium Plant
Job Description
Design and develop extrusion dies for aluminium profile manufacturing.
Prepare and modify engineering drawings using CAD/CAM software.
Perform metal flow analysis, bearing design, profile development, and extrusion ratio calculations.
Provide technical support for die manufacturing, CNC machining, EDM, heat treatment, nitriding, and tool assembly.
Monitor and optimize die performance to improve extrusion productivity and profile quality.
Plan and execute die maintenance, repair, correction, and tool life management.
Maintain die records, production history, and tooling documentation.
Conduct dimensional inspections, profile measurement analysis, and engineering drawing verification.
Identify die-related production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
Support new profile development and ensure customer-specific technical requirements are achieved.
Establish tooling quality assurance systems and transfer technical knowledge to local engineering personnel.
Contribute to plant commissioning and commercial production stabilization activities when required.
Experience
- At least 8 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Metal & Aluminium Manufacturing
Education
- Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials & Metallurgical Engineering
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 31 years
Practical experience in Microsoft word and Excel.
Practical expertise in solid die design, metal flow analysis, and bearing optimization.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CAD/CAM applications, and CNC machining processes.
Hands-on knowledge of CNC Milling, CNC Turning, Wire Cut EDM, EDM Machining, Heat Treatment, Vacuum Hardening, Nitriding, Surface Finishing, and Tool Steel Selection.
Sound understanding of engineering drawing standards and tooling manufacturing processes.
