About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Team Lead – Backend Engineering (Node.js) to lead our backend engineering initiatives.
This is a hands-on leadership role.
You will be responsible for designing scalable backend architecture, mentoring developers, reviewing code, establishing engineering standards and working closely with product, frontend and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
You should enjoy both solving complex technical challenges and helping other engineers grow.
Outstanding candidates who are not yet ready for the Team Lead position may be considered for Senior Backend Engineer roles.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the backend engineering team and provide technical leadership.
Design scalable, secure and maintainable software architecture.
Develop high-performance backend services using Node.js.
Review code and maintain engineering best practices.
Mentor and coach backend developers.
Participate in architecture and technology decisions.
Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA Engineers and Frontend Developers.
Optimize application performance, scalability and reliability.
Ensure software quality through proper testing, documentation and code reviews.
Identify technical risks and recommend effective solutions.
Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes and development workflows.
Experience
- At least 7 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): IT Enabled Service
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering
B.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering or a related discipline.
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 31 years
Experience
7+ years of professional software development experience.
At least 2 years of technical leadership, mentoring, or Team Lead experience.
Proven experience building scalable backend systems.
