SQA Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced SQA Engineer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in software testing to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through both manual and automated testing practices. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members throughout the software development lifecycle to identify defects early and uphold high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and design documents to develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing across web and/or mobile applications.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation frameworks.

• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools, and verify fixes through retesting.

• Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand feature requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives within an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or similar.

• Perform basic performance and load testing where required.

• Maintain and improve existing test automation suites for better coverage and efficiency.

• Prepare clear and concise QA reports, test summaries, and metrics for stakeholders.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.

• Mentor junior QA engineers and assist in knowledge-sharing within the team.

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Age At least 26 years

• 4-5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance/testing.

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.

• Proven experience in both manual and automated testing.

• Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar).

• Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.

• Solid understanding of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, or similar).

• Experience with bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).

• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).

• Experience testing mobile applications (iOS/Android).

• Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL for data validation.

• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
