Job Description

  • Lead and manage Urban and Regional Planning projects from project inception through completion, ensuring technical excellence, quality assurance, and timely delivery.

  • Prepare, review, and supervise the development of Master Plans, Structure Plans, Detailed Area Plans (DAPs), Land Use Plans, Regional Development Plans, and other strategic planning documents.

  • Provide technical leadership and quality assurance for planning studies, policy analyses, spatial planning, infrastructure planning, and sustainable urban development initiatives.

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams comprising urban planners, GIS & Remote Sensing specialists, environmental and social experts, engineers, economists, and other technical professionals.

  • Develop and review high-quality technical proposals, Expressions of Interest (EOIs), concept notes, feasibility studies, consultancy reports, and project methodologies for national and international assignments.

  • Coordinate and maintain effective liaison with government ministries, public agencies, development partners, donor organizations, private sector clients, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders throughout project implementation.

  • Lead client meetings, technical presentations, negotiations, and project coordination meetings, serving as the primary technical focal point for assigned projects.

  • Identify new business opportunities by monitoring government procurement portals, development partner pipelines, and private sector initiatives relevant to the company's business.

  • Lead and support business development activities, including client engagement, opportunity assessment, partnership development, and strategic networking.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with national and international development agencies, consulting firms, and strategic partners to expand the company's business portfolio.

  • Represent the company in pre-bid meetings, client presentations, conferences, seminars, workshops, networking events, and technical forums.

  • Conduct stakeholder consultations, public consultations, workshops, focus group discussions, technical meetings, and capacity-building programs.

  • Mentor, supervise, and build the technical capacity of planners and consultants through coaching, training, technical reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Experience

  • 12 to 15 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Multinational Companies, Consulting Firms

Education

    • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Urban & Regional Planning
    • Master of Science (MSc) in Urban & Regional Planning
    • PhD in Urban & Regional Planning

Additional Requirements

  • Age 35 to 60 years
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.

  • Excellent report writing and technical documentation skills in English.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.

  • Experience in supervising multidisciplinary technical teams.
