Engineer, Electrical Maintenance
Job Description
Job Purpose
To ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the power plant through effective electrical and electro-mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and timely corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
A. Maintenance & Operational Excellence
• Ensure safe, smooth, and reliable operation of plant electrical and electro-mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of engines and related auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and electro-mechanical faults and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Monitor equipment condition and operating parameters to identify potential maintenance requirements.
• Ensure scheduled maintenance activities are completed within the required timeframe.
B. Troubleshooting & Reliability
• Identify equipment faults, breakdowns, and operational abnormalities.
• Perform troubleshooting and take timely action to minimize plant downtime.
• Support improvement of equipment availability, reliability, and operational performance.
C. Resource Management & Cost Control
• Ensure economical use of spare parts, fuel, lubricants, chemicals, and other consumables.
• Support forecasting of maintenance requirements and preparation of maintenance budgets.
• Monitor maintenance-related expenses and ensure effective utilization of resources.
D. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records related to operation, maintenance, inventory, and equipment performance.
• Prepare and update maintenance reports and relevant documentation.
• Ensure maintenance activities and equipment history are properly documented.
E. Coordination & Compliance
• Coordinate with Operations, Logistics, Bunkering, and other relevant departments.
• Ensure compliance with plant procedures and maintenance requirements.
• Maintain effective communication with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth plant operations.
Experience
- 5 to 8 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Power
Education
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from any reputed university.
Additional Requirements
- Age 27 to 45 years
Technical Competencies
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical maintenance.
• Knowledge of HFO-based power plant equipment and auxiliary systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
