Veterinary Doctor (Poultry & Dairy)

Job Context:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Veterinary Doctor to oversee the health management of poultry and dairy farms. The candidate will be responsible for disease prevention, treatment, biosecurity, vaccination programs, and improving overall farm productivity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor the health status of poultry and dairy animals on a regular basis.

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases affecting poultry and dairy livestock.

• Plan and implement vaccination, medication, and deworming schedules.

• Develop and maintain biosecurity protocols to minimize disease outbreaks.

• Provide technical guidance on nutrition, breeding, animal welfare, and farm management.

• Conduct post-mortem examinations and investigate disease outbreaks.

• Prescribe medicines and supervise treatment procedures.

• Coordinate with farm supervisors to ensure proper animal health and production management.

• Maintain health records, treatment reports, and medicine inventory.

• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and government regulations.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the management.

• 2 to 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from a recognized university.

• Additional training in Poultry or Dairy Management will be considered an advantage.

• Age 25 to 40 years
• Only Male

• Candidates with strong field experience will be given preference.

• Sound knowledge of poultry and dairy diseases, vaccination, and treatment protocols.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and visit multiple farm locations when required.

• Proficiency in MS Office and report preparation.
