Assistant/Deputy Manager – Admin & HR (Factory)
Job Description
We are seeking a practical, dynamic, and result-oriented Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager (Admin & HR) with proven hands-on experience in managing large-scale Food & Beverage (F&B) manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all factory Administration and Human Resource functions to ensure smooth business operations, regulatory compliance, effective people management, employee discipline, industrial harmony, and uninterrupted workforce availability. The candidate must possess strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and the adaptability to manage complex factory environments while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration
Practical experience in managing 2,000+ factory employees.
Strong people management and employee relations skills.
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure and stressful environment.
Proven experience managing multi-functional and culturally diverse teams.
Demonstrated capability to handle complex workplace situations with practical and timely solutions.
Highly adaptable, resilient, and capable of performing in dynamic business environments.
Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with a bold and proactive approach.
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management abilities.
Renew and maintain all statutory factory licenses and permits, including Trade License, Fire License, Environmental Clearance, and other regulatory certifications.
Liaise with government authorities and regulatory agencies, including Police, Fire Service, Labor Office, Local Administration, and other relevant bodies.
Ensure effective factory security management by supervising security personnel and implementing security protocols.
Oversee factory housekeeping, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
Manage factory canteen operations to ensure quality food and hygienic services.
Supervise transport operations, including employee transportation and vehicle management.
Monitor maintenance of office facilities, utilities, and administrative assets.
Handle all other factory administrative matters to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
Human Resources
Prepare monthly salary sheets and coordinate payroll processing.
Recruit workers and staff according to approved manpower requisitions and production requirements.
Conduct manpower planning to ensure adequate workforce availability.
Maintain employee attendance, leave records, and HR documentation.
Handle disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies and labor laws.
Assist in employee onboarding, orientation, confirmation, and separation processes.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labour Act, Labour Rules, and company HR policies.
Coordinate employee welfare activities and maintain positive employee relations.
Prepare HR reports and maintain employee records accurately.
Experience
- At least 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Food (Packaged)/Beverage, Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Bakery (Cake, Biscuit, Bread)
Education
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Cost & Management Accounting, Management
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
Additional Requirements
- Age 28 to 42 years
Candidates must have hands-on experience in both Factory Administration and HR Operations
Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labour Act and Labour Rules.
Experience in payroll preparation and manpower planning.
Excellent administrative and liaison management skills.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
