Lead Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer
Job Description
Orange Business Development Ltd. (Orangebd) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer to lead our Software Quality Assurance team and ensure delivery of world-class software products.
The Lead SQA Engineer will be responsible for defining the organization`s testing strategy, leading manual and automation testing initiatives, establishing quality standards, mentoring QA professionals, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and continuously improving software quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, deep expertise in software testing methodologies, and extensive hands-on experience in automation testing frameworks.
Key ResponsibilitiesQA LeadershipLead the Software Quality Assurance department.
Build and maintain a high-performing QA team.
Define department goals, KPIs, and quality metrics.
Allocate QA resources across multiple projects.
Monitor workload, productivity, and performance of QA engineers.
Mentor, coach, and develop team members through regular feedback and training.
Conduct technical reviews of testing deliverables.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation of QA team members.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and quality excellence.
Define organization-wide QA strategy.
Develop comprehensive Test Plans and Test Strategies.
Establish quality assurance processes and standards.
Define testing scope, priorities, and risk assessments.
Estimate testing effort, timelines, and resource requirements.
Ensure adequate test coverage for every software release.
Review project requirements and identify testing risks early.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science & Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Master`s degree is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 6–10 years of professional Software Quality Assurance experience.
Minimum 2–3 years in a Team Lead or Lead SQA role.
Proven experience leading enterprise software testing projects.
Demonstrated success in building and scaling QA automation frameworks.
Experience managing QA teams across multiple concurrent projects.
Experience working with international clients and distributed teams is preferred.
