Job Description
Purpose of the Role
To lead and oversee the Group Treasury function by developing and implementing treasury strategies that optimize liquidity, cash flow, funding, investments, and financial risk management across all Strategic Business Units (SBUs). The role is responsible for maintaining strong banking relationships, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, establishing robust treasury governance and internal controls, and providing strategic financial insights that support sustainable business growth, operational efficiency, and the Group's long-term financial objectives.
A. Treasury Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the Group Treasury strategy in line with corporate financial objectives.
- Lead treasury transformation initiatives and implement best practices across all business units.
- Establish treasury policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior management regarding liquidity, capital structure, and funding.
- Lead and mentor treasury team members while driving continuous process improvement.
B. Foreign Exchange & Risk Management
- Develop and implement foreign exchange risk management strategies.
- Monitor currency exposures arising from import, export, and overseas remittances.
- Recommend appropriate hedging solutions where applicable.
- Manage interest rate, liquidity, and counterparty risks.
- Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank Foreign Exchange Regulations.
D. Funding, Financing, Banking Relationship and Investment Management
- Arrange short-term and long-term financing facilities as well as manage working capital loans, overdrafts, term loans, and syndicated financing.
- Monitor and evaluate debt maturity profiles and financing costs.
- Monitor investment returns and liquidity requirements.
- Ensure compliance with investment policies approved by management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international banks.
- Negotiate banking facilities, pricing, interest rates, and service agreements.
- Coordinate opening, closing, and maintenance of bank accounts.
E. Team Lead
- Lead and mentor treasury staff.
- Develop SOPs and internal controls.
- Conduct training and performance reviews.
- Foster continuous process improvement.
Experience
- At least 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Shipping, Logistic/Courier/Air Express Companies, Airline, Freight forwarding, Shipyard, Spinning
Education
- Masters
MBA/MBS in Accounting or Finance
CA Partly Qualified will get preference
