Job Description

The Assistant Officer – Store is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper storage and handling of raw materials, consumables and finished goods and supporting uninterrupted production through efficient material management and stock control.

  1. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock verification to ensure material availability for production requirements

  2. Receive incoming materials, verify quantity and quality and ensure proper documentation and storage

  3. Issue materials to production departments according to approved requisitions and operational needs

  4. Ensure safe, organized and efficient storage of steel materials, consumables and spare parts to prevent loss, damage, or deterioration

  5. Maintain records of all material receipts, issues, transfers and stock balances in ERP/manual systems

  6. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to prevent shortages and overstock situations

  7. Support inventory audits, cycle counts and physical stock reconciliations

  8. Coordinate with production, quality and logistics teams to resolve material-related issues promptly

Experience

  • 1 to 3 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Steel

Education

    • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Supply Chain Management

Additional Requirements

  • Age At least 24 years
  • 1–3 years of experience in store, warehouse or inventory management, preferably in a steel manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP systems will be an added advantage
