Job Description
Laboratory Operations Management
- Supervise daily activities of all laboratory sections.
- Ensure smooth sample collection, processing, testing, and reporting.
- Monitor turnaround time (TAT) of investigations.
- Ensure uninterrupted laboratory services during duty hours.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Maintain internal and external quality control (IQC/EQC).
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Follow biosafety and infection prevention protocols.
- Maintain compliance with government and accreditation standards.
Staff Supervision
- Supervise laboratory technologists, technicians, and phlebotomists.
- Prepare duty rosters and shift schedules.
- Train new staff regarding SOPs and laboratory procedures.
- Monitor staff discipline, attendance, and performance.
Reporting & Documentation
- Verify accuracy of laboratory reports before release.
- Maintain laboratory registers, logs, and documentation.
- Ensure proper record keeping of reagents, consumables, and maintenance.
- Prepare monthly laboratory activity and stock reports.
Inventory & Store Management
- Monitor stock of reagents, kits, and consumables.
- Prevent expiry and wastage of laboratory materials.
- Coordinate procurement requirements with management/store department.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for reagents and samples.
Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure proper functioning of analyzers and laboratory instruments.
- Coordinate servicing and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain equipment maintenance logs and breakdown reports.
Patient & Doctor Coordination
- Handle urgent and critical reports promptly.
- Coordinate with consultants and physicians regarding test issues.
- Address patient complaints related to laboratory services.
Safety & Infection Control
- Ensure biomedical waste management according to policy.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety inside laboratory areas.
- Ensure use of PPE and safe handling of infectious samples.
Administrative Duties
- Assist management in laboratory planning and development.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in audits and management meetings.
- Monitor laboratory expenses and operational efficiency.
Experience
- At least 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hospital, Diagnostic Centre
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Medical technology (Lab)
Additional Requirements
- Age 30 to 45 years
- Only Male
