Job Description
- Collect samples from the sample section as per the updated production plan, and analyze line-wise style construction and potential difficulties for pre-preparation.
- Design layout papers for new feeding styles according to the OB sheet. Update previous layout papers for repeat styles and have them reviewed by seniors.
- Improve workplace engineering and operator handling methods during feeding to achieve maximum line capacity and output.
- Prepare QCO sheets based on layout papers and approved QCO matrix, assign operators, collect QCO data, and prepare QCO graphs.
- Conduct capacity studies and perform line balancing (LBS) for running styles to meet required production capacity.
- Perform production studies on problematic operations, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- Track sewing lost time and update it in the off-standard database.
- Monitor operation-wise hourly production boards, and take corrective actions with production executives in case of deviations
- Perform manpower balancing and daily headcounts to manage absenteeism.
- Monitor all hanger lines and ensure required style data is correctly displayed.
- Collect previous day’s line-wise production data and ensure proper inputs for visualizing the current line condition.
- Conduct operation-wise skill gap analysis, create development plans, and monitor skill development training.
- Conduct skill tests for newly joined operators and perform yearly skill tests for operator appraisals.
- Provide inputs for the monthly machine requirement sheet and monthly manpower requirement sheet based on the production plan.
- Standardize operations by following method study procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior members of the IE department.
Experience
- At least 4 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments
Education
- Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE), Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, or a releted discpline from any reputed University.
- BGMEA University of Fashion Technology,Bangladesh University of Textiles students will get preference
