Assistant Manager (In-Charge) – Store & Warehouse
Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Assistant Manager (In-Charge) to oversee Store and Warehouse operations. The ideal candidate must possess strong experience in managing inventory, materials movement, and warehouse operations within a garment washing environment. The role requires ensuring accurate stock control, timely material issuance, proper documentation, and effective coordination with production and related departments.
- Store & Inventory Management:
- Manage daily store and warehouse operations, ensuring smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock accuracy through regular reconciliation and physical verification.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure proper storage practices to minimize material damage, loss, or wastage.
- Washing Materials Management:
- Handle chemicals, dyes, enzymes, auxiliaries, packaging materials, and other washing-related inventory.
- Ensure proper documentation and control of all washing materials received and issued.
- Monitor consumption trends and prepare inventory reports for management review.
- Coordinate with production, washing, and procurement teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Supervise warehouse personnel and allocate responsibilities effectively.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards, housekeeping, and operational procedures.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and material flow.
- Monitor loading, unloading, and transportation activities.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and warehouse reports.
- Maintain all store-related records, including GRN, challans, stock registers, and inventory reports.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and information.
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems and controls.
- Team Management:
- Lead, motivate, and develop store and warehouse staff.
- Conduct performance monitoring and provide necessary guidance and training.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.
Experience
- At least 6 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile, Washing Factory
Education
- Bachelor/Honors
Bachelor`s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Additional professional certifications in Inventory Management or Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 34 years
Must have hands-on experience in a garment washing factory/store environment.
Strong knowledge of washing chemicals, auxiliaries, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
Experience in ERP-based inventory management systems is preferred.
At least 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
