Air Conditioner & Refrigerator Technician

Install, commission, and test air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.

Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system faults.

Inspect and service compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, thermostats, and fan motors.

Conduct refrigerant charging, recovery, leak detection, and pressure testing.

Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.

Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.

Replace defective parts and components as required.

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare service reports.

Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform troubleshooting activities.

Coordinate with supervisors and other maintenance personnel to complete assigned tasks.

Technical Diploma, Trade Certificate, or Vocational Training in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology.

Relevant work experience in HVAC or refrigeration maintenance will be preferred.

HVAC Technician Certification.

Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Trade Certificate

Occupational Health & Safety Training Certificate

Sound knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, components, and controls.

Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment.

Familiarity with refrigerants, recovery procedures, and safety practices.

Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams.* Good communication and teamwork skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet maintenance schedules.

Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and under varying weather conditions.

Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and spare parts.
