Job Description
ASIX is urgently hiring Area Manager for our Satkhira, Bandarban and Brahmanbaria hubs!
ASIX, a sustainable lifestyle handicrafts export company, is looking for a dedicated, field-based Area Manager to rebuild and lead our production hub in Satkhira, Bandarban and Brahmanbaria. If you have experience in the development sector, NGOs, or handicrafts and want to make a direct impact on rural artisan communities, this is your opportunity.
What you'll do :
Buyer Communication -
- Handle day-to-day communication with international buyers across Europe, Japan, India and Australia
- Respond to buyer queries within 24 hours - specifications, samples, production updates, shipping status
- Communicate production progress and shipment schedules proactively - not only when buyers ask
- Coordinate sample dispatch and follow up on buyer approvals - fit samples, final samples, production samples
- Maintain a buyer communication log - what was discussed, promised and pending
Export Documentation and Logistics -
- Prepare and manage all export documentation - commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading
- Handle Letter of Credit (LC) documentation - checking LC terms, preparing compliant documents, coordinating with banks
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, C&F agents, and clearing agents
- Ensure full compliance with export regulations, buyer requirements, and EPB guidelines
- Monitor shipment schedules and track deliveries - escalate risks before they become problems
- Maintain accurate and complete export records
Production Follow-Up :
- Follow up on production schedules with the operations team to ensure timely execution
- Track order status across hubs and factory - flag delays to the Head of Operations immediately
- Coordinate quality check schedules and shipment readiness with the factory team
- Support costing, quotation preparation, and merchandising documents as required

Experience
- 1 to 3 years
Education
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing, Accounting, Management
- A graduate in Business, Textile Technology, or related field with strong English and exceptional organizational instincts. Eager to learn. Willing to be mentored intensively.
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 22 years
- Experienced profile : 1-3 years in export merchandising, buyer communication, or shipping documentation.
- Knows LC documentation, can write to international buyers independently, has handled freight coordination.
- Both profiles will be considered. What matters more than years of experience is:
- accuracy, accountability, and the ability to communicate clearly under pressure.
- Non-Negotiable Qualities :
- Strong written English as you will write to buyers in Europe, Japan, and India independently.
- Exceptional attention to detail - export documentation errors cost real money
- Accountability - when something is your responsibility, you own it completely
- Composure under pressure - international buyers are not always patient; deadlines are real
