Crop Manager/Deputy Manager
Job Description
Lead crop-wise, product-wise and pest-wise market assessment, including market share, competitor activities, market potential and future growth opportunities to support business decisions.
Create and maintain crop-wise, region-wise, territory-wise and industry-wise databases based on cropping area, cropping intensity, pest pressure, market demand and product potential. Support yearly and monthly revenue budgeting for CC&PH products.
Develop current and future cropping pattern maps based on AEZ, cropping intensity and regional crop potential. Recommend territory and regional mapping for high-value crops to ensure optimum business output.
Develop crop-wise and pest-wise calendars considering geographic differences, seasonal variation and pest/disease incidence. Align sales, marketing and demand generation activities with the crop calendar.
Develop complete crop-wise solution packages using CC&PH products. Recommend new product ranges and portfolio opportunities based on farmer needs, industry trends and business growth potential.
Design and guide product demonstration programs on different crops and pests. Develop strategies to improve farmers’ crop yield by reducing losses from insects, weeds and diseases through proper use of CC&PH products.
Monitor crop-wise business performance and implement targeted promotional campaigns, cropping programs, and brand-building initiatives to increase market penetration, strengthen product positioning and drive sales growth and revenue.
Provide technical guidance to farmers through demand generation teams, call centers, digital platforms and field advisory services. Ensure practical, farmer-friendly information is available through factsheets, social media, mobile advisory services and online platforms.
Lead training programs for farmers, retailers, stockists, DAE officials and sales teams on crop protection, best agricultural practices, safe pesticide use, market penetration and crop-wise development plans.
Represent ACI Crop Care in seminars, meetings and industry forums. Build strong relationships with Agri-universities, research institutions, development partners, DAE officials and other key agricultural stakeholders.
Provide timely feedback to management on crop protection trends, farmer needs, competitor movement, regulatory changes, market opportunities and future industry shifts affecting CC&PH business.
Experience
- 5 to 8 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Group of Companies, Chemical Industries
Education
B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Agriculture from any reputed university.
MBA degree will be an added advantage (preferably in Marketing or Finance)
Additional Requirements
- Age 32 to 45 years
Strong knowledge of crop agronomy and pest management.
Excellent knowledge of agricultural aspects (related to crop care) of Bangladesh, agrochemical industry, market competition and international trends.
Knowledge of data compilation, analysis, interpretation, and formulation of reports and presentations.
Ability to comprehend and interpret competitor strategies and consumer behavior.
