THE HIMALAYAN MOMO, Dhaka is looking for a dedicated, disciplined, and passionate Chef / Cook to prepare and serve premium-quality meals for the Board of Directors and VIP guests.
Job Location: Dhaka (Lake Circus-Kalabagan)
Job Context
We are seeking an experienced and professional Chef / Cook who can maintain the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, presentation, and confidentiality while serving the Board of Directors and special guests.
The ideal candidate should have excellent culinary skills, strong discipline, and the ability to work in a high-standard corporate environment with flexible timings.
Responsibilities & Context:
Prepare and serve high-quality meals for the Board of Directors and VIP guests
Ensure food taste, quality, and presentation meet VIP standards
Plan menus based on the preferences of management and special guests
Prepare Bangladeshi, Nepali, Continental, and basic international cuisine
Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness in the VIP kitchen area
Follow all food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Ensure timely preparation and serving of meals as per schedule
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while serving VIP personnel
Monitor and maintain stock of:
Food items
Groceries
Kitchen supplies
Coordinate with Admin for purchasing and replenishment of kitchen items
Ensure proper storage of food items:
Dry
Chilled
Frozen
Minimize food wastage and ensure efficient use of resources
Clean kitchen utensils, equipment, and work areas regularly
Assist in arranging special meals for meetings, events, and VIP visits
Ensure kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly
Experience
- At least 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Restaurant, Fast Food Shop
Education
- SSC
Minimum SSC or equivalent
Professional Cooking
Food Safety
Hospitality
Training in (will be preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 25 years
- Only Male
Candidates must be able to communicate in English and Bangla or Hindi.
Salary and other allowances will be determined through discussion based on experience and skills.
Accommodation and meals will be provided by the company.
Experience in a corporate, hospitality, or executive service environment will be preferred
Strong cooking skills in:
Bangladeshi cuisine
Nepali cuisine
Continental cuisine
Basic international dishes
Knowledge of VIP food presentation and service standards
Good understanding of hygiene and food safety practices
Strong time management and multitasking ability
High level of discipline, confidentiality, and professional behavior
Ability to work under pressure with flexible timing
